A quick little Saturday morning session on their family farm was just what the Kahlig family needed. It was a cool beginning of fall morning and the kids were in their element at their home. I bet you would never guess how onery the two boys are in this bunch! The beautiful girls were loving their photos, the exact opposite of their brothers.
A short but sweet little session with this family is hitting the blog. We met at their homeplace for Jackson’s six month photos! Farming runs in their family genes so Jackson is garenteed to grow up loving the farm life. Dad was kind enough to come inside and get cleaned up for a few family photos!
I am kicking off this blog with possibly one of my favorite senior portrait sessions of all time. We had to reschedule Natalie’s first set due to unfortunate weather, our rescheduled date didn’t look too promising but we agreed to continue on. I am so thankful that we did! We not only lucked out with a beautiful and low humidity afternoon but the storms that did come through seemed to just miss us. Towards to end of Natalie’s session we finished with a gorgeous thunderstorm in the background!
We started at Grand Lake Saint Mary’s just near Natalie’s hometown of Coldwater, Ohio. It always makes for great senior photos because the variety in landscapes!
Natalie is a cheerleader for the beloved Coldwater Cavaliers of Coldwater High School, we couldn’t help but incorporate some of that into her senior portraits. The remaining outfits are so of my favorites, the edger style balances out of the rest of her session. I love that Natalie brought a full variety of outfits and was open to any suggestions!
Both of the top two images are my favorites, I just love them! The next image however may be one of my FAVORITES. Remember those storms I mentioned at the beginning? I didn’t even realize I captured this until I was home editing her session!
Thank you Natalie & Julie for such a great senior session, I loved getting to know you both and photographing this special time in Natalie’s life. Enjoy your senior year! It honestly goes so quickly. I have a few remaining dates open for seniors for this fall if you are interested please contact me!
Looking over this wedding as I prep it for the blog I am brought to laughter a few times. Ashley & Derek’s wedding day was so full of happiness I can’t help but recall those happy memories. They were married on a warm June Saturday in Ashley’s hometown of Maria Stein, Ohio.
Ashley, in true Ashley fashion, had two wedding dresses. The one she fell in love with and the one she had made to match her Mother’s dress. The morning of the wedding it was still undecided which is would be wearing and Ashley with her Mother’s encouragement decided to make her own wedding memoires in her own dress.
Thank you again for including me in your wedding day, these memories will always be ones that I cherish!
What is there not to say about Brandi and Tyler? After dating throughout their high school years then continued on in their college years. Brandi attending school and moving away so she could become a physical therapist and yet their relationship not only maintained but prospered through the years. Their wedding day felt like the celebration of a union that so many waited for. Their separate families are so intertwined after their years of dating that it seemed as if it was one giant family. Their friends celebrated as if this was the union that they have all been waiting to celebrate!
Brandi’s attention to detail reveiled itself during the course of the day, those shoes stole my heart from the moment I saw them…
Brandi is the baby of her family with two beautiful older sisters. You can see in the photos how loved she is as Brandi asked that her Mother and sisters were there for her first look with Brandi’s father. The tears welled up as they watched their father hug his baby girl and how stunning of bride she truly made.
Brandi and Tyler each popped their own bottles of champagne and without realizing it Tyler’s champagne popped all over Brandi! It was hands down one of the more funny moments I’ve witnessed on a wedding day. I am laughing as I type this just rethinking about it.
Their reception was rocking, it was hard not to include so many more dancing photos. The band did an excellent job of keeping everyone on their feet and dancing the night away!
